After the Social Justice Committee Screening of "The Quilters"

Temple Beth Tikvah invites our community to continue the spirit of learning, dignity, and opportunity inspired by "The Quilters". We are collecting new or gently used books to support individuals who are currently incarcerated or transitioning from incarceration. These books are intended to empower, educate, and open pathways to meaningful work, stability, and personal growth.

Books We Are Collecting:

Career & Vocational Pathways:

  • Nonprofit & community work

  • Barbering

  • Trucking (CDL preparation)

  • Culinary arts & food service

  • Construction flagging & trade skills

    Financial Literacy & Stability:

  • Homeownership

  • Personal finance

  • Stocks & cryptocurrency (introductory / responsible investing)


    Personal Growth & Motivation:

  • Self-motivation and goal setting

  • Life skills and re-entry preparation

  • Resilience, leadership, and personal development

• No writing, highlighting, or damaged covers
