God, I have a question … led by David Talbot
We all have questions in life. Some of them are the really big ones. Here is an opportunity to ask.

Intended as an engaging and participatory discussion, based on themes of interest of a theological or religious nature, and not necessarily text or book based. Inclusive, wide-ranging, and a bit of fun.
Some sample questions:
· Christian and Muslim faiths speak about life after death, being admitted to heaven, and eternity in paradise. What about us Jews?
· We have a Covenant with God (maybe a few) and refer to ourselves a The Chosen People. How do we feel about the concept of ‘Jewish Exceptionalism’?
· God has spoken to us through a burning bush, or in a thunderous voice from the clouds. How else does he speak to us, or better yet, how can each of us ‘hear’ him?
· The Bible is full of prophets (and some even have their own ‘books’). Where are our prophets now? We sure can use them…
·  How does our Jewish tradition speak about ‘immanence’ and ‘transcendence’?
·  We all know the stories of the Garden of Eden (at least two I think). Was what happened sinful? Perhaps Eve did the right (or God prescribed) thing?

Our discussion will be supported by Rabbi Hesch Sommer, who will help us keep on track. Think of it as “practical theology”. We may not get specific answers… But we can ask!

“God, I have a question” will meet on Sunday mornings listed below from 10:30 - 11:30 AM at TBT with Rabbi Sommer.
